B2B catalogue platform

In build

A 3,500+ product catalogue rebuilt from WordPress onto a modern stack — filled in by us, with its own admin and a blog that writes itself.

Role

Analysis, architecture, design and development.

Context

An Italian B2B company selling professional cleaning machines ran its entire online presence on WordPress, with page builders stacked on top of each other and an external agency controlling both the hosting and the content.

Problem

The site was slow at the root, every content change had to go through a supplier, and the blog cost around €1,500 a year for one article a month. Ten years of search ranking sat on URLs nobody could safely touch.

System

A full rebuild on our own stack, with an admin panel the owner actually uses, a catalogue imported from the old site, and a content engine that drafts articles automatically. Built on a temporary address so the live site kept running until the new one was measurably better.

What was built

  • 3,500+ product pages and 63 articles loaded, with descriptions, images and categories — by us, not by the client
  • Optimised for search engines and for the AI assistants people now ask instead of searching
  • Own admin panel: products, articles, media and SEO fields edited without a developer
  • Search-engine data reproduced record by record, so ten years of ranking survive the move
  • Redirect map from every old address to the new one, including the broken legacy URLs
  • Automatic article drafting with a quality gate before anything is published
  • Rental, service and maintenance-policy sections alongside the catalogue

Outcome

Content control moved in-house and the recurring article cost disappeared. The switch-over happens only when the new site is demonstrably better than the old one — the risk of the migration is deliberately zero. Most agencies deliver an empty shell and hand you the data entry. We delivered the site with the catalogue already in it.
